DIY Postcard Album

In my previous post, “Mad about Postcards” (https://korpannita.wordpress.com/2014/05/27/mad-about-postcards/), i showed the postcards i received from Postcrossing. I kept them in a plastic folder but i wanted to display them properly. There are several ways to do it as suggested in Postcrossing blog from September 2012 (http://www.postcrossing.com/blog/2012/09/06/postcard-storage-boxes-albums-and-more) but i prefer to store them in an album. Although searching for postcard album both in stores and online shops, i have a hard time finding the perfect one because insert pocket sizes are usually  limited to 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ vintage size , 4″ x 6″ modern size or 5″ x 7″ large size. So, i decided to create my own DIY album instead. It is 8 1/2″ x 11″ album and should be able to hold at least 50 postcards, hopefully more! 🙂

DIY Postcard Album

This project can be a great coffee table book, don’t you think? I can leave it in the living room for our guests to flip through if they want. Anyway, i had some leftover materials and decided to put together a cute little notebook under postcard theme! It’s 4 x 6 inch with 9 insert pages and 50 blank pages which decorated with lots of washi tapes and stickers.
