I Love Paper: Paper-Cutting Techniques and Templates for Amazing Toys, Sculptures, Props, and Costumes

Paper is an amazing innovation which not only you can write on it but also you can turn into a piece of art! There are several ways you can do that, such as Origami (paper-folding) and paper-cutting. When i was in high school, i tried paper-crafting for the first time. One of my classmate took a short course on how to make 3D paper art, so she taught us to make it. We had a lot of fun that day and i still remember how to do it until now! Just select a picture you like, make several copies (4-5 copies), die cut them out layer by layer, then stick all layer with thick double sided tape and there you have it! (see the photo below for an example) 😀

I like this technique a lot but i’m looking for a way to make real 3D paper artwork and decided to get this book, “I Love Paper”, by Fideli Sundqvist, a Swedish prop designer and paper artist. I completely fall in love with her works. They are super awesome!

There are more than 40 paper projects of inspiration and some come with templates and step-by-step instructions. The book is full with tips and tricks that will allow you to create your own project. I enjoy this book a lot and would like to recommend it to anyone who love paper art. In my opinion, it’s a great start for beginner (like me)! 🙂
